Ammonium bicarbonate is an inorganic compound with the formula (NH4) HCO3 simplified with NH5CO3. Chemically, it is the bicarbonate salt of ammonium ion. Carbon dioxide is a colorless solid that can easily decompose for water and ammonia. Ammonium bicarbonate is used as a raisin agent for flat baked products such as foodstuffs, cookies and crackers.
